Commonwork...Bore Place Part 1

As with the whole of England, Bore Place has quite a rich history. The Commonwork Land Trust folks have done a wonderful job of documenting that history, which (hopefully) you'll be able to read about by following this link:

It is a beautiful, peaceful place... with out any furthur delay... check it out!
the Small Barn (my home away from home - away from home!)

the Large Barn/Small Barn

the Old Stable... Chef Andrews kitchen is through that door, far right... furthur right and you are in a kitchen garden area (below)

one of the garden areas with beautiful brick walks.

outdoor oven!

Boy would I love to have one of these someday!

the Main House

these beautiful pollarded Lime trees (Tilia x europaea) line both sides of the entrance driveway that culminates in front of the Main House. The picture doesn't really do them justice... all the new shoots are a beautiful ruby color.

Johns Green Wood Workshop off in the distance... you can see some hazel and willow leaning against the wall on the right... the single door on the right leads into the shop... the double door at the left is now Tina (the head gardeners) storage space.

the door

John's courtyard... a beautiful bench... a hazel hurdle leaning against the wall behind

willow garden structures

and a couple very cool chairs!

canvas covered shelter... the outdoor work area

entrance to walk and gardens at back of main house from the courtyard.

some beautiful Redtwig Dogwood (Cornus spp.) off in the distance!

something beautifully espaliered against the outside wall of John's shop.

in a veeerrrry cool little building (that used to be where the game was hung to season)
